Thanks Mike. My trip out to Castle Howard was one of the best days I had in my York holiday. I took a wee country bus from the city out into the countryside and taking a long winding route through farmland and villages before being dropped off about 1 mile's walk from the castle. The autumn colouring and the good weather on the day made the parkland even more special. Frankly I enjoyed the grounds more than the castle ;)
