Hawthorn in AutumnI never cease to be amazed how these little trees survive as they do. This one is shown growing high on a granite outcrop at Brentor, near Tavistock in West Devon. This one is at the rear of the famous Brentor Church in a very windy and exposed location. The hills of Dartmoor can be seen in the background. I took this shot yesterday, 04 10 2010, in evening light, and the signs of Autumn are evident in the leaves and berries.
